About LIP Theatre Company

LIP Theatre Company is the University of Dundee’s only entirely student-led drama society. We give students the opportunity to get involved in all areas of theatre: from writing and acting to costume and set design, regardless of your past experience!

LIP put on a variety of productions every year, from Shakespeare to modern classics, to new writing from members of the society. We also perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and August 2016 was our 20th year at the Fringe!

For every show we put on we look for passionate and enthusiastic people to act, direct, create props, costumes and sets, design and operate lighting and sound, create artwork for posters, sell tickets, and more!

Joining LIP is a fantastic way to meet new people. With post-rehearsal drinks, huge pub crawls, after-show parties and an end of year society ball, the social side of LIP is definitely not something to be missed!

We have a variety of membership options, and you are welcome to join the company at any time. Our annual subscription (matriculation fee) is currently £10.00, and you are very welcome to come along to a few meetings to see how you get on before you need to pay anything.

LIP meet every Monday at 7pm in Mono at DUSA the Union during term time.
